What is Cake! Alley?
Cake! Alley is the cake decorating and sugar art pavilion at the Sydney Craft & Quilt Fair, presented by the Australian Cake Decorating Network. It brings together live celebrity demonstrations, hands-on make and take sessions, the Sip & Decorate champagne workshops, and a curated line-up of Australia's best cake decorating brands.
When and where is it on?
Wednesday 15 to Saturday 18 July 2026, open 10am to 4pm each day, at ICC Sydney, Darling Harbour, as part of the Sydney Craft & Quilt Fair.
What is Sip & Decorate and how do I book?
Sip & Decorate is our signature bookable experience: a glass of champagne, a master teacher, and a sweet creation you take home. There is a different workshop each day, Wednesday to Saturday. Book your spot in advance on the fair's Sip & Decorate booking page.
Do I need cake decorating experience?
No experience needed. The make and take cookie and cupcake sessions take 10 to 15 minutes and suit all ages, and the Sip & Decorate workshops are guided by a master teacher from start to finish.
How much are fair tickets?
General admission is a guide price of $28 and a family pass is $67. A friend under 30 comes along free. Tickets are sold by the fair and cover the whole show, Cake! Alley included. Buy your tickets on the fair's website.
